Madonna is the cover star of Interview magazine for its May 2010 issue.
The cover was shot in February of this year, by famed photo duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott who also shot Madonna for POP magazine. She was interviewed by director Gus Van Sant about his film Milk, her early career, and her involvement in Malawi. The cover is styled after her 1983, first, self-titled, album Madonna shot by Gary Heery.
